Gokulam Kerala FC is set to take on Sreenidi Deccan in the I-League 2024-25 season opener

Kozhikode, 22/11/2024: Gokulam Kerala FC is set to face Sreenidi Deccan in the I-League 2024-25 season opener tomorrow at the Deccan Arena, Hyderabad. Last season, Gokulam finished in 3rd place, while Sreenidi secured 2nd position, setting the stage for an exciting clash to start the new campaign. The match kicks off at 4:30 PM and will be streamed live on the Sony Liv app.  

Head Coach Antonio Rueda expressed his confidence ahead of the game, saying, “Sreenidi is one of the best teams in the league, but we are well-prepared and confident. Our team is ready to give its best to win the championship.” With three months of intense preparation, Gokulam is eager to begin their season on a strong note.  

This season, Spanish midfielder Sergio will captain the squad, with Rishad serving as vice-captain. The 24-member squad features a mix of talented foreign players and experienced Indian talents, including 11 players from Kerala, three of whom have been promoted from the reserves team.
